FireFox 3 Released! Emailed URL Late!

Firefox 3 was released today. I knew that this was coming, but I wasn’t really sure when. I googled it yesterday and found www.spreadfirefox.com. I was pretty excited and “pledged” to download FireFox 3 today (the release date). Well, I was in front of the computer by about 8:30AM thinking you could download beginning at midnight but I couldn’t find a link. I finally found one that said 10AM PST. I shrugged and said ok. At about 10:15AM I began to try to get back on that website and also Mozilla.org. Neither worked. The balls kept spinning and spinning. I finally got on about 11:30AM and downloaded it. It began trying to import my add-ons. I had written down the ones I really really needed, and then when it checked compatibility, these add-ons worked! Perfect.

Got it installed and everything. I’m pretty excited for all the features it touts and it looks pretty too on my MacBook Pro.

….. Then I got an email at 11:45AM PST giving me the link I was REQUIRED to use to be part of the Guinness Book record! What the heck!! Oh well.
